Stop with the PvE only skills getting buff whine. They did buff some of them but basically they now capped the rank system at Rank 8. Therefore, you don’t need Rank 10 to get the PvE skills to have their max effort. It killed a good amount of grind for max PvE only skills. However, remember it’s maxed at 8 Rank and not 10 Rank.

WTF???
Someone, please, explain to me why this was done. What is ANets thinking behind this, because it doesn't seem to make any sense at all to me. Did people really think that PvE was too hard?
|
ursans is now a 60 second duration and now ursan strike's second hit deals piercing dmg instead of armor ignoring. And Willa's armor was reduced because pugs have hard time killing her. And as other said the pve skills were changed to make them moar effective at lower levels so the skills don't need to grinded as much for them to be effective.
Way of the master wasn't updated btw...

On a side note, I'm glad to see SoM got hit.

About the only fun in the game was jumping in Ursan and racing through FOW and such. Now that they've taken that, there isn't much reason to even load the game anymore.
One less player who's going to be away from GW long enough that I'll pick something else up and not bother with GW2. Good job in losing this customer Anet

Also lol at pain of disentchantment and xinrae's weapon, they tryin to kill enchanment prots? The new "it's just a flesh wound" just screams to be put on the monks bar.
The new changed elites just smell like of new gimmick builds to be made.
About the mesmer elites and pve , the skills I liked the most are Visions of Regret and Lyssa's aura. But hoped for more though

If you wanted to have to think less about what you wanted to do, if you wanted to breeze through things easier, if you wanted to just "have fun" with your build and hit stuff with little effort, you could do that in Normal mode. Because of that, I see no reason for all of these "buffs" besides having to grind less and wanting people to shy away more from Ursan (which could've been done easier through nerfing it a bit harder).
But you are right: you will see a majority of people here just wanting things made easier from them. You'll see this here, in the WoW forums, in the TF2 forums, etc. But those latter two *don't* hand everything out to their players, and because they didn't do that they must be awful games, correct?
As such, if you want people to "have more fun", then we can just provide a way to turn Guild Wars into a racing game, or a puzzle game, or a farming simulator. But once you agree to all that, you'll lose what Guild Wars is, and realize how important it is to maintain meaning and integrity into your game. It's why you don't see Mass Effect with an option to take out all the RPG customization, Zelda without the puzzles, or Team Fortress 2 with a Deathmatch mode. They retain what their game is.
I could "man up" and say "wow Upier and Manitoba, you're right. ANet no longer cares about their game", but I don't think it should be something to be proud of.

I tested OoU with Carniae, and I can confirm it's an utter piece of trash. The most DPS you'll get out of it is 70ish...and a full minion army can do waaaaay more than that.
A big Death Nova bomb might work, but it's too technical.
I'm tempted to make a Warrior just to cheese through Hard Mode, though,
PS: Vampiric Spirit is broken in Arenas. Vampiric Spirit + Blood Renewal = invincibility.

So about master of magic, do runes and headgear affect the "set at 12" or will that lower your atts?
